Tattoos
With Intention, Story, and Soul
I’m Linda Torres, a trauma-informed, custom tattoo artist specializing in realism and emotional storytelling.
With over seven years in the industry, I create one-of-a-kind pieces that go beyond aesthetics. Each design is a collaboration, a form of expression, and a moment of transformation.
My approach to trauma-informed tattooing prioritizes safety, trust, and deep personal meaning. Whether you're reclaiming your body, honoring your journey, or simply expressing your truth, I hold space for an intentional tattoo experience from start to finish.
As a traveling artist with limited availability, I work closely with a small number of clients at a time, offering custom tattoo designs rooted in care, creativity, and connection.

Tattoos That Tell Your Truth
Tattooing, for me, is more than just a technical process—it's a deeply personal and intentional experience. I specialize in a unique realism tattoo style that blends bold line work, fine details, and rich texture to create custom tattoo designs that are emotionally connected and visually powerful. This is the only style I work in, allowing me to bring a focused, consistent vision to every piece I create.
Each tattoo begins with a collaborative process. I take the time to understand your story, your vision, and the emotions behind your design. Whether you're marking a moment of healing, transformation, or personal empowerment, I’m here to help bring that meaning to life through ritual-based tattooing. I’m not just creating art—I’m helping to tell your story in a permanent and authentic way.
I strive to create a safe, judgment-free space where you can feel comfortable expressing yourself, no matter your background or experience with tattoos. Many of my clients are drawn not only to the quality of my work, but to the care and presence I bring to every session. Your tattoo should feel like a reflection of your truth, and I’m honored to be part of that journey.
Preparing for Your Appointment
Your tattoo experience begins long before you arrive at the studio. As a trauma-informed artist, I do everything I can to create a safe, calm, and supportive space. A little preparation on your end can help us both have a smooth and meaningful session.
Whether this is your first tattoo experience or your 20th, here are a few best tattoo prep tips to help you feel ready and grounded:
• Hydration & Rest
Come well-rested and drink plenty of water in the 24 hours before your session. Staying hydrated supports your skin and helps your body cope better during the process. Please avoid alcohol or blood thinners before your appointment.
• Skincare Prep
Gently moisturize the area being tattooed in the days leading up to your session to keep your skin healthy and receptive. Please don’t shave the area yourself, I’ll handle that here to avoid irritation or cuts.
• Clothing & Comfort
Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the area being tattooed. Think soft fabrics and layers, your comfort matters throughout the session.
• Snacks & Breaks
Especially for longer appointments, bringing a small snack or drink can help keep your energy up. Breaks are always okay, and I’ll check in with you regularly.
• Mental Preparation
It’s completely normal to feel nervous, especially if you’re processing something emotional or if this is your first tattoo. Just know: this is a trauma-conscious space. You are welcome to bring headphones, fidgets, or anything that helps you feel safe and supported. I’ll walk you through everything at your pace.
Knowing how to prepare for a tattoo appointment allows us to focus on what really matters, creating art that honors your story and your body. If you have any specific needs or questions, don’t hesitate to reach out before your session.
Tattoo Aftercare: Healing & Longevity
Getting a tattoo is more than just art—it's a healing ritual.
Proper aftercare is essential to protect your new piece and ensure it heals beautifully. Below are two options depending on the method used: Standard Aftercare or Recovery Derm Shield.
Standard Aftercare
Follow these steps if your tattoo was wrapped in plastic or a type of dry lock pad:
Initial Care
-
Remove the bandage after 2–3 hours with clean hands.
-
Wash gently with warm water and antibacterial soap.
-
Avoid washcloths or anything abrasive.
-
Let your tattoo air out for a few minutes before applying any product.
Ongoing Routine
-
Apply a very thin layer of Aquaphor or Vaseline.
-
Re-wrap with clean plastic wrap for the first 2 nights to protect from fabrics, bedding, or pet dander.
-
Repeat the clean + moisturize routine 3x daily.
-
Wear clean, loose-fitting clothing over the area.
What to Expect
-
Peeling is normal—it should flake like a sunburn.
-
If scabbing occurs, it’s usually due to dryness or friction.
-
Do not pick or scratch. If itchy, gently pat or wash, then apply unscented lotion.
What to Avoid
-
No soaking (baths, pools, hot tubs, oceans) for 3–4 weeks.
-
No sun exposure during healing. Once healed, apply SPF to protect from fading.
-
No medicated ointments or creams unless prescribed.
Healing Time
-
Everyone heals differently. If you have diabetes, autoimmune conditions, or take medications, healing may take longer.
-
Pay attention to your body and care for your tattoo accordingly.
Note: If you notice signs of infection—persistent redness, swelling, excessive heat, pus, or fever—seek medical attention immediately.

Recovery Derm Shield Aftercare
Recovery Derm Shield is a breathable, latex-free adhesive film that protects your tattoo while it heals. It reduces scabbing, prevents exposure to dirt and bacteria, and helps preserve tattoo vibrancy.
Application Instructions
-
Gently clean and dry the tattoo and surrounding skin.
-
Using clean gloves, cut the film to cover your tattoo with a 1–2 inch margin.
-
Peel the backing and apply the adhesive side to the skin.
-
Press gently from the center outward to remove any air bubbles.
-
Do not stretch the film during application.
Wear Time
-
Keep the first piece on for up to 24 hours. Fluid buildup is normal.
-
Apply a second piece if needed for a few more days.
-
A third application can be used if healing requires.
-
Do not wear any single piece longer than 7 days.
How to Remove
-
Gently pull from the edge, stretching the film away from tattoo like a 3M strip—not upward.
Every artist is different—always follow the specific aftercare guidelines provided for your tattoo.
